Asparagus

Bio: Asparagus is one of the two characters that were created specifically for the movie version.  The actor who portrayed Gus the Theatre Cat, Sir John Mills, was very old and nearly blind when the movie was being filmed.  So obviously he couldn't be dancing and flexing with the other cats during the other numbers (also the reason why "Growltiger's Last Stand" was cut).  So the producers created a "second" Gus to perform the dances.  Although some have interpreted this differently, thinking that Asparagus is supposed to be a descendent of the original Gus.

My Theory: Asparagus is the son of Gus and Griddlebone, and also the mate of Jellylorum.  His daughters are Electra and Etcetera.
